A JOURNEY LEARNING TO COOK
Learning to cook is a journey filled with experimentation, discovery, and the occasional culinary mishap. For many, myself included, the kitchen can be an intimidating place, fraught with the fear of burning, undercooking, or otherwise ruining a meal. However, it is also a space of immense creativity and potential, where simple ingredients can be transformed into delicious creations. In this narrative essay, I will recount my own journey of learning to cook, from humble beginnings to newfound confidence in the kitchen.
My culinary journey began with humble aspirations and limited skills. Raised on a diet of convenience foods and takeout meals, I had little experience in the kitchen beyond microwaving leftovers or boiling rice. However, a desire to eat healthier and save my parents money prompted me to venture into the world of cooking.
